The Dalmore distillery opened on the banks of the Cromarty First in the north highlands of Scotland in 1839. This picturesque location was deemed the perfect place to pioneer a whisky making philosophy that thrives to this day.
The Dalmore soon became known for a relentless pursuit of perfection that saw the single malts from the distillery made in a distinctly forward-looking manner. Firstly, the obsession with curating exceptional casks from some of the most celebrated wineries and bodegas in the world. Secondly, a focus on long maturation and the recognition that the rich and robust spirt flowing from the stills required time in cask to develop.
Today, The Dalmore is recognised as one of the few single malt distilleries producing heavily aged whisky of incomparable character. As a direct result the shining stars of the distillery are particularly rare and command astronomical prices to the lucky few that have the opportunity to buy them.
