Nestled in 20 acres of the serene Somerset countryside, Homewood Bath is the ultimate staycation destination. Eclectic, luxurious and slightly eccentric; think grand Georgian country house and grounds filled with creative artworks and ultra-modern indulgences including a spa and heated outdoor swimming pool. There's some quirkiness about Homewood. Whether it's the model of a horse with rock star Kurt Cobain drawn on its rear end in the garden the thoughtful monkey statue outside the main entrance, the pink roses on the ceiling in the spa treatment rooms or the wall of clocks in the hotel reception. Gone are the days of the stuffy old posh hotels with dinner jackets and dresses at dinner. Homewood is firmly in the 21st century - relaxed and friendly without subtracting any of the high standards demanded of a luxury hotel.
Locally sourced produce is at the heart of their restaurant 'Olio', with a large proportion of veggies used throughout the menu being grown on-site at their 'No-Dig Kitchen Garden'. Olio encapsulates the very best of British food with a unique Mediterranean twist. Whether enjoying a feast in the dashing dining domes, indulging in their famous afternoon tea or an amorous Sunday roast with all the trimmings, the emphasis is always on sustainable, often hedgerow fresh ingredients, with a proud, local provenance.
Exciting developments are on the horizon, as Homewood is proud to announce the debut of new spa facilities coming in Summer 2024. The new expansion includes a vitality pool, outdoor sauna, experience showers, a relaxation room and additional seating. The current spa boasts 3 treatment rooms, a heated outdoor pool, an indoor hydrotherapy pool, a sauna and steam room. Not to forget the outdoor hot tub boasting unbroken views of the Somerset countryside, whilst sipping on a glass of bubbles. Rejuvenating treatments are at the heart of The Spa, with a full range of relaxing and refreshing treatments, leaving the mind, body and soul refreshed and revitalised.
